I have 4.7 installed with comments splitting to pages when number of comments exceeds 50. When a user at any page other then first and sub,its a comment, page reloads to the first page, when it should to the last. It is very uncomfortable since anyone would like to see his/her comment submitted and to do that needs to press extra link and wait extra time.

Can anyone advice me how to solve this issue. Why it happens? I wonder how is it with systems without clear URL? I guess I have this problem because I use clear URLs. Or it doesn't have anything with the issue?

This seems to be a default behaviour of drupal and does cause some confusion. I would also like it to show the comment posted on whatever page that resides as defaulting to the first page sometimes means members assumed it never was posted and try again.

If there is a solution, i'd like to hear of it also.

at least i believe so. unfortunately nobody from drupal gurus answered the thread. when you have tens of comments splitted into several pages it is extremely uncomfortable for users to take part in duscussions, becase when they are at page #, let's assume, 15 and they submit a comment the page reloads to the very first page, and the user needs to press extra links to see his own comment.

i strongly believe that the reload page should remain the same page where a user actually submits his comment. please anybody help me to solve this issue.

i have noticed this behaviour also.... but... i was thinking about using node popup for the submission form and having the page refresh on submit behind it... i havnt tried it yet tho, but i think it will work.

Yep it's a default behaviour unfortunately, though just from looking I'm wondering if it's a problem with redirecting more than by design.

If I actually knew interesting php I'd look into it, but unfortunately we're going to have to wait for someone that actually knows something or has the time to learn to look into it :)
