It would be great to have an option to convert my old polls created using advanced poll module into pollfield.

After I release release candidate version I will start to work on migration module from poll and advance poll?

Not a high priority right now. There is another issue about a migrate path from Drupal core. I think we'll work on that before advanced poll. But this would be a good thing to do in the future.
