Is it feasible for this module to create and edit exif and iptc tags? I would like my audience to add information about photographer, date, place, subjects, etc, which, after verification, could be embedded in the original images by an authorised role. Some exif camera tags might be excluded, but not date and GPS. Presumably one would need specific mapping between tags and cck fields. A long term objective to keep in mind might be to allow bulk operations.

In the fast gallery module code is some snippet that writes IPTC data to images.

What happened with this?
I am looking into working with IPTC tags and using the Fast Gallery module. The FG is nice, but cannot add tags easily from scratch.
Is someone else working on IPTC tags creation/editing?

subscribing ! I really need something to manipulate exif/iptc metadata with a fresh install of Drupal 7. Does anyone know how to edit metadata in the admin fields form? I don't need to embed again metadata in the original images, just edit them in the forms... thanks
