I installed the module. I created a block to go into the footer for all users. I entered a quote and it appeared just fine in footer. But I have another brower viewing the same site anonymously and with a general user account and that same quote shows "N/A" in it but still shows the author's name.
Also, in the anonymous view I see a single "-" before the authors name, which is how the module comes by default. But if I refressh the view then a second "-" shows up.
Here is what it looks like in my admin view (which is what I expected with the out of box setup):
The more I see of men the more I admire dogs.
— Mme De Sevigne
Here is what it looks like in my Anonymous view, after an extra refresh:
n/a
— — Mme De Sevigne
For background, I'm just setting up my first Drupal site for my personal website. This is a first try that I'm hoping will lead to using Drupal in some buisness websites. For the sake of the exercise, I was trying to make a quote section modeled after Slashdot.org's quote footer. Here are some problems I experienced:
- I would like anonymous users to view the quotes in a footer block.
- Logged in users should see all quotes too.
- I don't want the quotes to endup in the center content section. I havn't figured out how/if to turn this off.
- I would like the quote and author on the same line
- I couldn't figure out how to get the quote on the right side of the footer.
- I couldn't figure out how to get rid of the seperator that appears under the quote.
- I would like all quotes to be viewable (and maybe even sortable by name). This one I'm still looking into...
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

jhriggs commentedThis issue states that you are using the HEAD version. Which version of Drupal were you using? If you were using Drupal 5, the module had not been updated for Drupal 5 yet.

beginner commentedIt looks like a worksform. I cannot reproduce the problem.
The user doesn't see to be an active Drupal user (as of today, this was his last posting).
