i have never setup a multisite before but i have just had a request and would liek to know if i could do it using multisite.
basically, i have a fully working drupal site uploaded to my server and the client has asked to have a 99% identical site running too. so the content would be the same, the design would be the same, its literally just the logo that will change.
but instead of having to update 2 sites, is there a way that i could run the 2 sites off the same database and files directory yet have a different url pointing to it?
thanks

You'll have to figure out a way to change the logo based on which URL it is (not hard), but there's no problem with the rest of it. Just make the settings.php files the same for both sites.
brilliant thanks, so if i
brilliant thanks,
so if i just setup a multi-site on the site that i want to use and just wack in a bit of code to figure out the domain?
i will have to look for some multisite tutorials i think
A more secure drupal 6 [multisite] install
I highly recommend this tutorial by Justin Hileman. It is a little complicated at first but, if you go through it and make yourself a separate list of shell commands that work for your setup, you will be able to add new websites in a couple of minutes with SSH.
