The Meta Tags Node Report flags duplicate dc:contributor, dc:creator, and dc:publisher as errors. It is normal for these fields to have duplicate entries per DCMI specifications. Having unique entries for each of these fields would make no sense withing the context of the semantic web.

Forgot to mention that all the dc settings for SEO Friend are set to "Do Not Check."

Thanks for the report. I'll sort this out soon... might not be until after DrupalConSF though as I'm preparing for that this week.

Ok, I just checked in a fix. Since you have already configured things, you'll need to make a small change to your configuration to get it to work (new users won't need to do this).

Once the new dev version is available from the drupal cron, do the following:

1) update module to new dev version

2) go to your SEO Friend Content default settings, e.g.

http://[domain]/admin/content/seo_friend/default

and change the dc.* fields to "Do Not Check or Report"

The reason is that the "Do Not Check" was only meant for when you were editing content. I didn't use that setting for when I was generating the reports... but now I am checking that setting and if it's set to "Do Not Check or Report", then I will not report duplicates for that tag. This is now the default so any new users will not need to do anything special.

Note that "Do Not Check" has been changed to "Do Not Check When Creating Content" (which now I'm thinking should be changed since that applies to editing content as well... maybe I'll change "Creating" to "Editing".

3) If you have save the settings on any of your node types, you'll need to do the same for those forms as well, e.g.

http://[domain]/admin/content/seo_friend/forum

If you update all these to "Do Not Check or Report" then you should be okay and not see duplicates reported in the reports.

Please let me know after you've tested and I will close the bug assuming it works for you.

Thanks,
Kristen

Solved the problem. Thanks.

Facebook just complicated life by introducing their own Open Graphic protocol, which defines several og meta tags. They appear in the Facebook Socail Plugin Integration module. Not sure how search engines are going to handle different tags with the same content, as they essentially duplicate some of the dc tags.
