I'm offering to take over project maintenance. I believe there is a place for this project next to Chess and I'd love to see it come to life again and quickly evolve further...

I just happened to read this issue only today. Do you mean that you would like to take over the project?
I started the project but sadly I'm too engaged with something else at the mean time. If you do mean so, yes, please take over the project and let it evolve further.
Thanks! Tell me if anything I have to do to hand over the maintenance job. I tried to add you as a committer (to have CVS access) but fail (Error: "Eric_A does not have a CVS account."). Maybe you correct the error first and then I can add you again. It's even better if you can take over the entire project maintenance too but can you help me to find out the procedure to do so? (Sorry that I didn't get in touch with Drupal development for a few years.) Looking for you reply!

Thank you for trying to give me cvs access right away.
I want to work on this project and have new D5, D6 (and D7) releases see the light. Taking over the project from you seems to be the best way.

Anyway, I 'm going to to apply for a cvs account.

You stating here that you want to transfer ownership of the project is the main thing, I think. At one point I will move this issue to the webmasters queue and then ownership of the project can be changed.

Now how about an official review of my cvs application :-)
