I've got a D6 site which, as one of the features, displays an external RSS feed that my client creates with Mirabyte software.

Feed aggregator takes the resultant XML file and displays it in one of the blocks in the site.

The problem is that every now and again, we get duplicate items in the list. However, when I look at the XML there is no duplication. I have to 'remove items' in Feed aggregator and then 'Update items' again in order to counter the problem.

What I'm looking for is a proper fix, so the problem doesn't happen in the first place.

Any ideas?
