I have:
Drupal 6.16
Gallery Assist 6.x-1.9
Gallery Assist Lightboxes 6.x-1.3
JQuery Update module that includes JQuery 1.2.6
In Gallery Assist Lightboxes I have following lightboxes downloaded:
colorbox
fancybox
lightbox
shadowbox
slimbox
The Bug:
If I select any of the following lightboxes:
colorbox
fancybox
shadowbox
slimbox
They DO NOT WORK! = I click thumbanail and image is opened like I have no lightbox installed.
If I select
lightbox
It WORKS! but INCORECTLY! I can see the background menu through the picture like in the attached file.
Any ideas how to fix that? I cannot upgrade to new Gallery Assit till I make Lightboxes working.

almalino commentedOk, I found solution:
It seems following lightboxes:
colorbox
fancybox
shadowbox
slimbox
DO NOT WORK with jquery 1.2.6 - but gallery assit lightboxes documentation states that jquery 1.2.6 is ok!!!
I needed to manually download jquery v1.4.2 and put it into misc directory replacing the old jquery file.
question:
- Is it safe t replace something outside sites directory?
- Shall you include into documentation that 1.2.6 is not supported and that you need to replace jquery library manually?

almalino commentedAnother solution is to install module:
jquery update 6.x-2.x-dev
The problem is that it is development version and has many problems still.
So, how do we solve that?

jcmc commentedHello almalino,
I sent to you a privat message with loggin data to the test site.
you can use jquery_update and you can overwrite only the minimized file with JQuery 1.3.2 or highter (1.4.2).
Currently JQueryUpdate can't load the other versions (variants).
To the time that GA-Lightboxes was developed Colorbox worked with JQ-1.3 and highter. If this is to understand in the documentation this is wrong. Please tell me which docu?
Stronge is that I have updated to GA 1.9 and GAL 1.3 at pruebas.puntolatinoclub.de and all lightboxes works.
Regards
Juan Carlos
PS
Many thanks for the reports, now I detected a bug in the fancybox by create link to the next image. I will report this to the fancybox maintainer.

jcmc commentedI have changed to the version 1.3.2 in the test site pruebas.puntolatinoclub.de.
Please make tests from all supported lightboxes.
Remember this thread is categorized as a bug but the bug is not defined.

almalino commentedHi Juan,
I now checked the documentation (README.txt) and you stated there versions of JQuerry required for lightboxes to work.
So, it is not a bug. You can close it. Sorry for disturbance.
I created a feature request to update README.txt on how to get crrect version of JQuery.

zeezack commentedIs it possible to use the lightbox 2 module to hold the majority of the node content... how would one do this? Cause it may have to open up views etc...
