The patch is against 5.x branch.
The README.txt on 6.x branch is different - can you add your changes there?

Strange. I just tried 3 times with same result. When I checkout HEAD this is the README.txt file I get. I'm using Eclipse.

I'll try to download the file manually from Drupal.org instead of checkout from HEAD.
