Hi

I have just redone our site using Drupal. I'd like to host it somewhere relatively cheap if possible.

The site currently gets around 500 hits per day.

Can anyone recommend a site that:

Will give relatively good performance with Drupal
Allows more than 1 MySql DB

I've seen the list of hosting companies on the front page - but the list is a little overwhelming.

I have had some good luck with Hostgator, and one of the sites I use for them gets close to 700-800 visitors per day... But I know a lot of other people that really like godaddy, too.

Thanks mate - I've gone with a hatchling account on Hostgator. Seems okay so far. :-)

What hosted plan? Hatchling, Baby, Business? Or are you using VPS or a dedicated server.

I'm had poor results using iPower and GoDaddy's hosting plans.

We are currently using the business plan - but according to hostgator they are going to be implementing an improved plan for non-profits - so we will more than likely being taking advantage of that.

A couple other good ones you might want to look at (I haven't used them personally but I have heard very good things about them from others who have used them) is Bluehost and Hostmonster.

I'm sure their is lots to choose from but I have to say DWHS works awesome with Drupal check them out here http://www.dwhs.net

Just about any decent web hosting provider will be able to support Drupal. If you click on "banner advertisements" on the Drupal host page, you'll be able to see the Top 3 hosts Drupal recommends.

Hi Jib,

My new site (very small website - getting only 5-7 hits per day) is hosted at www.bluehost.com since last month.

Same site I uploaded at my Japanese host server for performance test. I have found the site performance is good at Bluehost. So, I recommend bluehost. 3 times I chat with customer support of bluehost and I am 100% satisfied with their support till now.
