It would be great if there is a way to select(with checkbox for example) which images amongs those uploaded we want to show on node, if we have enabled to show images in Display fields for that node(after saving the node images would appear below the text).
This feature would really be usefull with wysiwyg and insert module to avoid duplicate images-one inserted in text and the same image below the text.

There is already a "Display" checkbox option. Note that it does not work out-of-box with the various image formatters however. See #358729: Imagefield formatters don't respect visibility options and please continue the discussion over there if that's what you meant.
