Autocomplete User Reference compatibility

I seem to be having a problem with cck multivalue autocomplete user reference fields. I have one unlimited multivalue cck autocomplete user reference field.

As long as I don't click the "Add another item" button, the canned_text module inserts into the comment just fine.

If I click the "Add another item" button, the canned text module inserts the canned text twice or however many times that I have clicked the "Add another item" button.

Hopefully that makes sense.
