Google Analytics module now allows for segmentation of users by user profile fields. I'm seeing a limited number of fields available. Do you know if use of Advanced Profile would affect what fields would show for Google Analytics Segmentation options?

No, APK doesn't do anything with core profile at all.

Hey Josh;

If you are using one of the content profile modules with APK, then you aren't using the core profile module, but rather CCK to store the profile data, and thus you won't get segmentation data from it. Any easy way to do this is to write a custom module to load the user's profile node, and then theme out some javascript that will create JS variables containing the profile data. From there you go into your google analyics module and take the js variables and add them into the 'before' custom code section in the advanced part of the module config page

For example, on threatpost.com I use some PHP to create a language variable and output in my theme

var user_language = 'en_us';

Then, in the 'before' custom code section of the advanced part of the google analytics module I enter this

pageTracker._setVar(user_language);

I then have that segmented data in google analytics.
