Incorrect placement of data in Location fields

Geoparser in conjunction with placemaker plugin and location module appears to populate the location fields incorrectly.

Latitude & Longitude are correctly populated.
City - populated with whatever the place name is
Country - always populated with default value

I could not get the Latitude & Longitude to populate at all using Geo module.
