I have an odd problem. I've got nice menus working great on English site, but when I switch to the other language (Chinese) on the site it disappears altogether. BUT the odd thing is that it only disappears on the front page. If I click through to, say, the 'about us' page the menu is there again.
Would seem fairly obvious that I've somehow configured it in the block or menu not to show on the frontpage, right? But that's not the case Besides, why would only the translated menu not show, but the English one will? Everything is configured to 'All languages' (blocks, menus, menu items) but I still get this error.
Any ideas?

Marko B commentedI have the same problem here.
http://www.venezialines.com/
if i click on Italian language its ok but if i click on logo, that is pointing to "front page" like http://www.venezialines.com/it it doesnt work. Somehow nice menus dont get info about menu if there is no node involved in url path, this is definitly a BUG :-(

Marko B commentedThis bug is also present in 6.2 version, just tried it..

add1sun commentedHm, so when I go to http://www.venezialines.com/it the menu appears, but the only item with a child is Informazioni Generali. No idea what is going on there and I don't have anything set up to test this locally myself right now.
Marko B commentedWhat is going on is that it shows menu items that are on english but are in italian menu by mistake, that is that one child item that is there. Why i dont know, but that is exactly what happens. Its a zen subtheme if thats of any help.

mgiffordGlad you solved it.
With mine I've got a few menus that are showing up (in spanish & french) when the site is on the english "side" but not all strangely.

add1sun commented@mgifford, so you are still having a problem with this? I wish I could reproduce it locally. Guess I'll have to set up a multi-lingual tester at some point.
mgiffordI don't have a sandbox of this at the moment to play with, sorry...

netboss commented@deepM, I'm experiencing exactly the same problem in an English/Spanish site, the translated Nice Menus menu items are showing up correctly in every other page but not in the front page, there is one parent menu-item and some child menu-items missing, very odd!. Could it be possible for you to share your solution (as detailed as possible, if possible)...?
EDITED: Here is a link to our dev site: The site is finished, you can see it here
To reproduce this problem just click on the "EN ESPAÑOL" button at the top of the page. The main menu (under the slide show) is not showing all the parent menu items (there is just one missing, in Spanish "asientos premium", in English "premium seating"), and when you hover over "BOLETOS", Spanish for "TICKETS" (the only menu-item with translated sub-menus), there are sub-menus that are missing... If you click any of those links and move away from the front page, everything is working just fine. It's weird, and kind of hard to figure out (maybe I'm just mentally burned!).
Any help you guys can give me (us) would be greatly appreciated.
Peace,
~!v@n
EDIT: Just in case...
Server: Apache/2.2.9 (Debian) PHP/5.2.6-1+lenny8 with Suhosin-Patch
Drupal version: 6.17 (I know, I must update it!)

JensBraet commented@netboss: make sure your front-page is set as language neutral. that fixed it for me ...
kbjimenes commentedCheck if your default front page is set correctly. Go to Administer>>Site Configuration>>Site Information and check at the end of the page if the opcion "Default front page" is set with the word "node".
This worked for me.
