redndahead commentedDid imageflow work on 2.0 at all before?
u210ks commentedHello
I have the same issue. I've updated views slideshow from beta 2 to beta 4 and views module from 2.8 to 2.10 and Imageflow is not displaying anymore. I have a simple slideshow and it doesn't rotate the image slides also.
Any solution?
aaron commentedJust noticed this myself. I'll fix; moving to the proper issue queue.
u210ks commentedBTW I've switched to slideshow 2.x-dev version and I have the slideshow working again, but the problem with imageflow remains.
redndahead commentedAaron: look here for the changes needed. http://drupal.org/node/76972 Tell me if I missed anything.
aaron commentedStarted a new branch and fixed it there.
u210ks commentedThanks a lot aaron. I'll try it tomorrow.
Haarht commentedHi ! I upgraded to the 6.x-2.x-dev, but the display is now messed up. I joined a screenshot, the imageflow view is at the bottom of the page. I also noticed that wether I check or uncheck the "Display captions" option, the caption always appears. The view is included in a panel, and it used to display correctly until I updated to the beta 4 version.

u210ks commentedHi, I've updated to the latest views slideshow version 6.x-2.x-dev from 2010-Apr-15 and still Imageflow doesn't display. As soon as I switch back to views slideshow 6.x-2.0-beta2 imageflow works with no problems.
It is possible that I miss something though.
aaron commented@Haarht: Sorry about that; I've since fixed that problem. (None of the slideshow options were being honored in my previous commit.)
@loofmo: Can you try again (and make sure to run any necessary updates)? I just did a huge batch of revisions and improvements to the dev2 branch.
Thanks!

u210ks commentedHi
After switching between different versions of the modules:
All of the modules and drupal core are updated to latest versions.
The configuration of the test site that I'm testing newest imageflow module is:
Theme: Garland (with just color modification)
General Modules:
CCK
Imagefield
imagecache
Ubercart
Views
...etc.
- Views 6.x-2.10 (updated straight from 2.8)
- Views Slideshow 6.x-2.0-beta2
- Views Slideshow Imageflow 6.x-1.0-beta1 or 6.x-2.x-dev (latest from 2010-Apr-16)
- ImageFlow 1.2.1 or 1.3.0 (from http://finnrudolph.de/ImageFlow)
The result: Imageflow works. ( except when I've switched to ImageFlow 1.3.0 imageflow runs the images vertically, probably needs some configuration, it is displayed though)
As soon as I update Views Slideshow to 6.x-2.0-dev (latest-2010-Apr-15 ) in any combination with the modules above, imageflow disappear.

aaron commentedok, helped resolve a similar issue in irc. can folks try each of the following and let me know if one (or both) helps resolve the issue?
1) Clear the cache (if this works, yay! it's an easy fix!)
2) Click on the gear next to Type: Slideshow and press update (if this works, yay, but not quite as easy)
Thanks,
Aaron
Comment #18
brulain commented@aaron
Hi,
I had already tried these two manipulations, without any success : the IF remains invisible.
Sorry...

gillesbailleuxHey Aaron,
One word to confirm that Drupal 6.16 + Views 6.x-2.10 + Views Slideshow 6.x-2.0 + Views Slideshow Imageflow 6.x-2.x-dev are making beautiful animations. Thank you for your work!
Gilles
Comment #20
aaron commentedGlad it works for you, @gillesbailleux!
Could folks still having issues please export their views and post them here? I need more info to troubleshoot this. Also, please post the versions (and dates for -dev releases) of the modules in question.
Thanks!
u210ks commentedHi Aaron
Drupal 6.16 + Views 6.x-2.10 + Views Slideshow 6.x-2.0 + Views Slideshow Imageflow 6.x-2.x-dev (2010-Apr.-17) works perfect on my test site (I'll try it on my live site as soon as possible - should works also, both sites are almost 100% identical though).
I've done step 2 from your suggestions in post #17 (I haven't done it in my previous updates). Really sorry if just these two steps fix the issue.
Thank you for the great work!

AlexanderPop commentedDrupal 6.16 + Views 6.x-2.10 + Views Slideshow 6.x-2.0 + Views Slideshow Imageflow 6.x-2.x-dev works fine.
any updates about http://drupal.org/node/444284 ?
DocMartin commentedI too had ImageFlow disappear after updating Views Slideshow. Also got it working using the 6.x-2.x-dev version (after reading this thread; thanks for the info).
A clumsy upgrade by me; but maybe will help someone:
Tried without update.php, but turned out running update did make a change.
At first, I found there was a very narrow window with sections of images, which didn't flow. This was evidently as I still had some old imageflow module files: I deleted these.
Still nothing showing as yet, but I tried "Click on the gear next to Type: Slideshow and press update" - making sure ImageFlow was selected as the type of slideshow. And, Presto!, the imageflows returned.
lindsay commentedDid you still need the views exports? He is mine. Also, I've tried updating the slideshow and clearing the cache with no luck.
Thanks.
Edit: When I posted this I was running. Views Slideshow: Image Flow version 6.x-1.0-beta1. After that I installed version 6.x-2.x-dev. Still no luck. So then I tried clearing the cache (Site Config >> Performance) and updating the view and that worked. Thanks for the above, it helped me find the answer.
brulain commentedHi,
After many tests, I am very disapointed with 'new' versions of views_slideshow and views_slideshow_imageflow:
- Locally (MAMP), D 6.16 + Views 2.10 + VS 2.0 + VSI 2.x dev + Imageflow 1.3.0 works fine (see file 'ImageFlow-good.png').
- On production site, this same configuration with same settings doesn't work as wanted, ie it displays the IF vertically (see file 'ImageFlow-bad.png').
Of course, I ran updates, flushed caches, validated settings in views, etc.
I have attached the export file of the view (see file 'ImageFlow-views-export.txt').
Actually, the production site configuration is D 6.16 + Views 2.10 + VS 1.0 beta 2 + VSI 1.0 beta 1, and it works perfectly!
Thanks in advance for help.
Last minute: On both sites, local and production, when I click on an image, the pointer looks like a hand but anything happens. In html source code, there are not anchor tags, only img tags. With another display style (unformated), it is OK !
aaron commented@brulain: you are describing a classic example of #769968: SOLVED: Enabling CSS File Optimization makes ImageFlow Container show Images vertical. do that, and it will work for you. sorry, it's a bug in the original plugin; as it's not licensed GPL, there's nothing i can do short of explaining the fix.
brulain commented@aaron
Thanks, it works fine when CSS file optimization is disabled. But images don't link to nodes anymore...

protoplasm commentedSame issue, upgrades made imageflow disappear. Upgrading to 2.x did nothing to remedy the problem. Using all the latest modules and code. I am unable to disable CSS optimization because of IE issues when I do. Otherwise, I've cleared cached and tried everything else. I don't know if it is this module or another that is causing the problem at this moment.
redndahead commentedYour best bet is to use firebug and see if there are any javascript errors.
protoplasm commentedNo imageflow js errors. I just reverted to the beta and everything is working again, even with all the other modules updated. Also, I tried disabling css optimization and js optimization and that did nothing. So it is working with the beta and both optimizations. For now, I am sticking to 6.x-2.0-beta2. Great module, when it is working, btw.
kriskd commentedI'm unable to get either beta1 or the current dev (May 18) to work. I cleared my cache and hit update on the view when selecting Image Flow. I'll check back for other ideas or releases.
Edit:
Argh... this always happens, the minute I post, I get it to work. Currently the dev is working as expected. If someone could delete this post, it would be greatly appreciated!
SandStorm commentedAfter I had the same frustrations (and no solution) I changed my theme to garland and it worked ... Imageflow appeared
I then realised that I used views attach to show the view inside other content, which I wrapped in
a table to align it the way I want.
Moving the '[view:photo=page_4]' link outside the table resolved the problem, imageflow appeared.
I then put it back and resized the table. Imageflow was sized VERY small, but it did appear. Allowing less
space for Imageflow made it disappear again.
So, maybe most of the issues are related to lack of space for views slideshow imageflow to do its thing?

temuccio commentedHello,
essentially what is the version of:
I have tried this versions:
but not works.
dpatte commentedhaving no luck with imageflow. Slideshow allows me to select imageflow, but when i do select it I get no options to set it up - and no imageflow.
I may have caused the problem on install. I originally set it upi without downnloading the plugin. The plugin is there now, but after trying all options describd above i still see no setup options for the imageflow.
I'm using all the latest modules.
Tom Kraft commentedNot sure if this will solve the problem of ImageFlow not appearing but it worked for me. This is what I did after trying everything to make it appear:
1. Disable the ImageFlow module and save in the Admin modules section.
2. Go to Sites/all/modules and delete the old ImageFlow module folder.
3. Download the ImageFlow update.
4. Install the update in the modules folder.
5. Go back to the modules page and reactivate ImageFlow.
6. Once I did this I had a warning that my database needed to be updated.
7. When to update.php and updated the database.
8. When to my view and the ImageFlow options reappeared.
9. When to my page containing the ImageFlow view and it all popped back into place.
Hope that helps.

Poieo commentedIf someone has a clean version of the 6.x-2.x-dev release could you post it as a zip file here? For some reason, it's missing from the drupal server...
brulain commentedHere it is.
Good luck.

imoria commentedI am having a problem getting it working - tried all tips here, and still not getting it. Let me know if someone has successfully done it and can give me a video tutorial perhaps. Willing to $ - mark@imoria.com
Comment #42
imoria commentedI have the image flow working now - but does it have to display on a stand alone page? I would like to get it on a content top block but doesn't seem to be working
Comment #43
Poieo commentedRather than creating a views 'page', you need to create a views 'block'. Then, you can put it anywhere you want...
