With #567072: Ship Drupal with a configuration file for IIS 7 we now officially (at least more than before) support Drupal on IIS+Windows. This generally works fine, but there are subtle differences (see e.g. #443286: Windows File Handling: International characters break file handling, permissions don't translate and the way clean URLs are implemented). I suggest adding a test bot running Windows to the automated tests infrastructure on qa.drupal.org.

damien tournoud commentedFirst stone: #771448: Use proc_open() instead of pcntl_fork() in simpletest.

sepeck commentedJust to mention. Drupal on IIS has been supported for years and is mentioned on the requirements page for that length of time. At least 7 Drupal versions now.
