I'd really like to upgrade our site to Version 6, but a lack of Table Manager for V6 is holding me back. Does anyone know of a similar module? I've found some but I can't seem to find anything that allows sortable tables. We have regularly updated tables that are not updated by me, but by a user with Admin access but no FTP access and he has limited HTML knowledge and no access to CSS files.

we may have something for you. myself and another dissatisfied TM user are sponsoring a new, totally overhauled module with very similar functionality - except that everything works and it officially is designed for D6 and beyond. if TM works for you now, then this new module will work for you, too.

we are in the final stages of buildout and testing, but i can't give you an exact date when it might be ready - except to say it won't be this week or next.

Hi John

That sounds great. Table Filter looks like it could be useful to us but I would very much like to retain the ability to sort. Import from .csv etc is another feature we use quite a lot but isn't essential. I'd be grateful if you could keep me in the loop with the module you're creating.

no offense, but i have a lot of stuff ongoing, so i will likely forget to remind you.

suggest you ping me back on this thread in a few weeks or that you subscribe to this thread to keep to track of what is happening with the new module: http://drupal.org/node/772790.

it makes for fun reading - big controversy.

somewhere in all that, you'll be able to keep track of where it ends up going so you can try it out at some point.

it will either become the 'new' TableManager. or it will be its own module under the name NodeTable. http://drupal.org/project/nodetable

the code is actually attached to the thread if you want to take a look or test it. the code is in pretty good shape, but we actually need help testing, so if you can do that, that'd be helpful.
