I think there is a problem in 'Recent comments' block - links in this block are not always pointed out to right comment (page). It happens when a number of comments are broken down to severeal pages, then link in 'Recent comments' block doesn't open right page, it always opens first page and user additionaly has to navigate to the last page.

Is this a bug or it could be solved by adjusting settings?

I think that's a problem with Drupal itself. When there's several pages of comments, the comment links cease to work properly, period. The only way to get rid of this, is to increase the number of comments per page so there won't (usually) be more than one page.

At least this was a problem in Drupal 4.6. If someone fixed this for 4.7 I haven't noticed.

It still works this way, unfortunately. As I use it to point users to recent forum posts, it's not really handy to increase the comments-per-page: threads tend to get pretty long.

I guess there's some workaround possible. If anybody already has a fix, they can make me happy :D

Has anyone submitted a bug report on this?

I'd like to add my interest on this - this is one of the things which really lets Drupal down, particularly when used in forums where long threads are common. Is there a bug report?

Just to reiterate, this is NOT a "recent comments" bug, but a bug in Drupal itself.

This is a known issue. It has been around for some time.

It is being worked, though.
