I am getting ready to update a drupal 5.21 with lm_paypal 5.x-1.0 to latest drupal 6. Can anyone with experience with this tell if this lm_paypal module update goes smoothly or if there are some things I should look out for?

lyricnz commentedTry it - but I don't believe this is supported - you will probably need to uninstall and reinstall the module.

druupydog commentedThank you for the reply.
I thought I would update the database from 5x to 6x, with all modules turned off, then re-enable the modules, after the drupal core is updated. If I completely uninstall lm_paypal will I lose my subscriber's info? I was hoping that I can enable the lm_paypal 6 version, after the upgrade, and it will recognize the subscriber data that is already there. Will it work that way?

lyricnz commentedI have no idea - try this on a backup site first! The maintainers have all been really busy with other projects, and I'm afraid LM Paypal has been rather neglected.

druupydog commentedOK, I will give it a try and report back to let everyone know how it goes.
The worst case would be if somehow my subscribers got 'unsubscribed' during the upgrade. Could that possibly happen?

lyricnz commentedAnything is possible! Let me know how your testing goes :)

druupydog commentedI did the update from Drupal 5.21 to 6.17. I followed the standard procedures for the update, disabling the modules, prior to the update, then re-enabling them after the update. The update appeared to go fine. I did not encounter any issues.
