Update status for db drivers is missing

With D7 we get the drop in db drivers like oracle and sqlsrv. Both are not checked for updates on d.o. This could lead in open security issues on sites.

What would be the best idea for future to solve this? A blank helper module without any functions only to check for versions sounds pretty stupid to me. Or does a driver only need an info file somewhere?
