Mega Drop Down Menus

We would really like to help with and perhaps sponsor the development of a mega drop down menu module.

Ideally we would like it to allow us to create embed blocks into a drop down menu.

We'd be looking for something like these:

We are a UK based charity, but would be able to help financially with the development of the module if that was necessary, as well as able to test it provide ux and ui advice, as well as documentation, screencasts etc to accompany it.

There is a post here: http://drupal.org/node/425832 suggesting a similar thing, but it's in the admin-menu issue tracker...we were thinking of this more for primary links (or any menu) rather than for the admin menu so felt this was the right place to post (if not please do let me know.)
