I am trying to put forums on my site i dont know what version of drupal i am using, because this site is a dead site that my dads company dont want anymore so they gave it to me.. i also dont have the FTP logon and stuff..

I Go to administer>> But then there is no forums module!!!

Go to /admin/build/modules and enable forums (under core optional).

You'll want to add the advanced_forum module as well as some other forum related contributed modules.

You can't say they gave you the site unless yo have an FTP access. Its a must have, man!
