it would be really cool if clouds could be made from content like images, possibly with filefield and imagecach for the different sizes, or just with filefield and resize the image with css the way the words in the cloud are resized now. am i crazy?

This would require quite a bit of additional configuration and will probably not be added to the module. You could probably accomplish this through theming rather easily however, once you know what sort of ImageCache styles and sizes you want to use.

Ok thanks for the reply - I agree a bit far from the scope of Views Cloud... a cool feature though! i think I can achieve the desired result through theming, and making a 'cloud' is probably the overkill answer to a bit of theming.
