Does anyone know how to change Solr log level and / or size? Each week I have to manually reset log file because eats up my \var partition
All your help would be very appreciated.

In general, I use logrotate http://www.linuxconfig.org/Logrotate

For Solr, it depends on how you've deployed it. Tomcat, etc. will keep logs, and you will want to configure them, too.
