I have not directly patched feeds api, but am maintaining another module right now, hostmaster_plus. This is something that I will be using on a few upcomming projects as well as looking to migrate into d7 world.

I am closing this issue, as it has been created for a release that is now not supported. The project itself has been marked unsupported because security issues.
