Hey All,
I just posted this in the Post Installation forum, but I thought I'd put it here too in case anyone else has seen it.
So, I disabled the front page module and all of a sudden, the menu items for adding content were gone.
I could still add content via node/add, but all of the menu links were gone. It seems a bit strange that disabling a module would remove a group of menu items?
Thanks
Terry

Dublin Drupaller commentedthe front page module doesn't have any control over menu links...unless you had a block setup that appeared when the path was

saltcod commentedThanks Dub.
I didn't think it was necessarily related to this module -- it appears that I've got some more systemic corrupting going on.
thanks

Dublin Drupaller commentedno worries. as a tip...try changing the theme of your site...if you are able to add content with a different theme, you have narrowed it down to a theming issue...if you can't add content, it's a module/permissions issue.
hope that helps

saltcod commentedThanks for the hint, dub.
Sadly, that didn't work either. I'm guessing it's an issue with an offending module, or otherwise a permissions issue, or a menu cache issue....etc etc.....
I don't have all that many of these issues with Drupal, but when they come along, they really are troublesome! I guess with so many connecting parts.....
Thanks for the help
