Member-only pages?

This is a horrifyingly-simple question I'm sure, and I can't wait to be able to contribute more to these superb forums, but could anyone tell me how to make some pages for member only (as , those who are signed in users)? I have seen this mentioned in the handbook, and have created new user types, but cannot find any way of restricting certain pages for certain users (and I have checked the publishing options).

The only alternative I have thought was to clone the page.module file and create a new one called membersonly.module, but that all ended in tears too! I wasn't sure how to change it! Flexinode doesn't seem to be 4.7x compliant yet.
