Need Help with the Node Form Checkout patch to show Order and Node Checkout info in a view

I tried applying the patch and following the instructions here (UC Node Checkout should provide a view to query against the related checkout node), and left a message there after being unable to get it to work.

I need to provide a view that lists orders and a link back to the node checkout information for a client, but every time I try to establish a relationship between the order and the node checkout information, zero records are selected. There's a linkage missing (or understanding on my part -- possibly both) so that the resulting query ends up drawing zero records.

The node checkout form has CCK fields with information that the client wants to see, and they need to look it up by order #. I thought that should be fairly straightforward, but w/o a working view for node form checkout I'm unable to resolve it.
