Hey all,

I am just about ready to start work on a site for an NGO whose colours are blue and green. They love the look of the Acquia Marina theme. I've used the Photoshop layout supplied to prototype a few screens of the site and its all been approved.

I just can't decide whether to go with the 2.x or the 3.x branch. I've used Acquia Prosper so I know how cool the Fusion system can be. My plan is to stick to the theme more or less and only make changes in the custom CSS folder and through the UI.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Is there a beta version around the corner? Is the alpha version stable and how is the upgrade?

Hey there! Good question. I'd lean towards recommending the 3.x branch, because there's just so much more to work from. There's really not an upgrade path between the two, since you need to manually apply the Skinr styles to get the look in the 3.x version. It's fairly stable and is unlikely to blow up your site or do anything bad :) There are about 800 people currently using it, and the next release will probably be a beta.

I am running a site with version 3.x. It runs fine but there are some css bugs with IE6 only.

Definitely go with 3.x - there is even a beta version out now, so no real reasons to worry.

I am currently using 2.x. I tried 3.x, but too many issues came up and I just don't have the time to take care of it right now, so I went back to 2.x. But I have to admit 3.x is way better than 2.x

hello, you say that Acquia Marina 3 works fine. I installed it on http://testsite101.000a.biz and everything related to theme is malformed. please check the above site and suggest what should be done to make it look correct. thank you.
