I have noticed that when using the three column setup, the right hand column covers up some of the menu items in features such as My Account, for example. The View, Edit, Invitations, etc top menu here are obscured by the right hand column. Is there any way to fix this so that the right hand column can be used?

Hello,

Danland is fixed width and that is way it overlapping the right sidebar if the maximum width is reached (this is the badness of fixed width theme).

Did you try it with other theme (i.e. Garland)?

You can resolved that by setup the block to not shown in that page, yes even not the best solution.
