I'm really lost on how to provide the right permissions for something. As administrator I can see the path in the navigation menu "Administer -> Content Management -> Content". That page lists all the content that has been published into the site. But what permissions switch is it that provides access to that page? No combination in the permissions page seems to allow access to that page for regular users so they can see that list of content. We have a lot of content that isn't linked to off of any other page and is simply landing pages from elsewhere so it's tough to remember where everything is by heart. I'm assuming I am just missing something. Can anyone offer some help?

The access administration pages has to be clicked... this is NOT recommended. This page should only be visible to administrators who need to EDIT, DELETE, and PUBLISH lots of nodes. If you just want people to be able to ACCESS nodes that aren't linked anywhere else, I'd create some type of view with the Views module that allows people to drill down through the content, then link that to the Navigation menu.
