I've searched drupal.org and elsewhere, but am unable to find any information about how to handle book reviews using the bibliography module. I realize that I can create a custom publication type to allow our staff to input the necessary data, but I need to know if the module has the ability to produce the citations in the appropriate format. For example, a book review in the Chicago style would be formatted as follows: James Gorman, “Endangered Species,” review of The Last American Man, by Elizabeth Gilbert, New York Times Book Review, June 2, 2002, 16. Does anyone have any advice for how to deal with this, and if it isn't currently possible with the module, given that reviews are such a common biblio-type, is it something that the author(s) would consider implementing in the (hopefully not-too-distant) future?

rjerome commentedAs the author, I can tell you that what your are asking for is not currently possible. I could certainly put it on the todo list, but our definitions of "not-too-distant" may vary :-) I'm currently working on a number of major features/code overhauls which would mean the my definition of "not-too-distant" is more like 6 months.

richlivi commentedThanks for letting me know Ron. That's unfortunate given the number review articles that my organization needs to store, but I obviously understand that you have to stick to your (already set) priorities. If you'd at least be willing to add it to the todo list, I'd very much appreciate it.
In the meantime, I'm going to be very surprised if I'm the only one who's run into this problem. Do you happen know how any other biblio users handle it? Do you have any suggested workarounds?

richlivi commentedIt's obviously been a while since I last posted this request. Any chance that you've made any progress with this? Is it still on the todo list?
Currently, we use a custom type, but the main problem is with handling the authors and titles in the most intuitive way. We typically make the author and title of the review the primary author and title, and the author and title of the work being reviewed the secondary author and title. And, so that it makes sense to those who browse the bibliography, we change the labels for secondary title to "Book Title", but we can't do that for the authors--e.g., we'd like to display "Review Author" and "Book Author" next to each of those fields. Any suggestions?
Incidentally, we do something similar for the dates--i.e., label the date field "Review Date" and label the year field "Publication Date".
