Hi all!
Few months ago My boss asked me if I can provide NEW look for company webpage. One of the main points was that page must have CMS.
Gosh... I've never do something like that. To be honest in almost every case my job was over after saving PSD file. But this time... was different.
I've decided for Drupal because of support you provide here. Big thanks for everybody that replies my mails, showing me solutions etc. (and for anybody that will in the future. Be prepared ;-) )
My first CMS page ever is up an running now (some content still need to be added but basic parts are working). www.eurowizja.biz
This is Polish language only for now. It's still confusing for me how to add different language versions.
Moreover I'm pretty sure that there are many things that was done wrong, or can be done better but at the end of the day: website works and my boss can update it without HTML knowledge :)
Comments and criticism are welcome :-)
PS: My knowledge of programming is almost 0, and HTML and CSS around 4 in 10-grade scale. ( as well as my English ;-) )

Bardzot dobje (excuse my Polish!) Adding other languages aint as difficult as you think, I'm sure the folk here will help you out.
Nice
Nice job.. I didn't see a link back to Drupal - that was the one minus I saw.
@Joessoft, When you design
@Joessoft,
When you design something in Photoshop or Dreamweaver or Flash or whatever other software you use do put that product logo in your design? I don't think so... that was a pretty dumb thing to say.
The only minus I see is your logic...
Back on topic, I think the site looks great. Nice Work

I agree I would never advertise what type of cms I am using or recommend it within a site as it makes it easier for people to find bugs within those systems to hack away.
Site looks great now I am going to start on mine after watching a bunch of training videos and also reading numerous Drupal books. Still trying to get my head around things but hey its worth the learning.

wow nice job for a first
wow nice job for a first webpage. how long did it take you from start to finish?
from start to finish
0) I've designed page in PS using some tutorials from the WEB and then spent few days with different CMS until finally decided for Drupal.
1) Took Acquia Slate theme
2) I was deleting code from page templates until I've reach requested structure (stupid way with lot's of errors but it works for me)
3) I've build very static page with some graphics and revised CSS styles. It was FAR from initial design.
4) Then I've learned that there are MODULES in Drupal that you can download and use to expand Drupal's power.(Really! that was AFTER I finished first version of the page)
5) I was watching/read Drupal lesson for using those modules until I've undestood what they can do.
6) I've started to build page once again with CCK and Views + some other modules. I didn't add anything more than I've designed in the "0 point". I was trying until it works as designed.
That was very interesting journey. I was terribly afraid of any CMS, coding, programing etc. Then I realize that current CMS technique is such advanced that even newbie like me can use it.
I must admit that there was about 30 or 50 times that I thought that "it can't be done", but every time I was wrong ;-)
So from day I finished designing in PS to live page it took me about 1 month. I believe that next page will be much faster ;-)
Nice!
Great example of what can be accomplished with Drupal even without coding knowledge. I love that with Drupal you have the capability to turn out something great without writing a lick of PHP, or you can customize any aspect with some PHP and a few hooks.
Site looks great!
That's really cool taking
That's really cool taking consideration that you started a Drupal site from fresh.
