Does anyone know the performance implications of using Node vs. Field row styles in Views?

On the one hand, Field row style presumably only loads the needed fields, whereas Node row style loads an entire node. On the other hand, loading nodes should be (I would think) cached.

Is one approach efficient than the other, or perhaps one is more efficient under certain circumstances? I've searched, and Google has only given me this comment conversation thread, which asks the questions but it never really got answered. If there's an answer out there, I'd be happy to see it.

Thoughts? Thanks,
Brian
