What is the best solution for integrating Drupal with Facebook?

Ideally, I would like the user to connect to my site via their Facebook account. I thought this would be an easy process, but it isn't. I have tried the provided contrib modules, but keep going in circles.

For example, I download FB Connect. Can't get past step one. The provided links to the source library are outdated, and I don't know what to download and where to look for it.

http://svn.facebook.com/svnroot/platform/clients/packages/facebook-platf... is no good.

So I tried Drupal for Facebook. Same lousy links.

I figured this marrige would be easy, since I'm working with two widely used applications: Drupal and Facebook. What gives?

So, here's what I propose: You walk me through the setup process, and I'll GLEEFULLY provide easy to follow documentation so that dense, slow morons like myself can easily install and configure a connection method to the largest social network in the universe.

How I do enable users on my site to login from their Facebook accounts??

You may be in a state of limbo so to speak, facebook just changed there API and I doubt either module has caught up.

Can you or someone else attach these supposedly outdated libraries right here ? The sites still using these modules are able connect users from facebook.

That's all I need for my site anyway. This particular project I'm working on isn't going to change the way we churn the butter....

If I read the Facebook site correctly the library you mention will stop functioning on June 1st.

O.K. I'll sit on my hands in the meantime and hope a solution comes our way soon.

Suppose if I can grease the wheels with a small financial contribution....
