Has this ever been fixed?

Also, when a user that has a blacklisted IP is accessing the site, shouldn't their activity in the log show the 403/404 status, not a 302 or 304?

just to clarify, this is under the blacklist settings, when I tried setting it to show 404 on every page I get this..

If this is still an issue, please re-open and upgrade version to D7. Drupal 6 is no longer being maintained.
