I just installed Drupal 4.3 and Gallery 2.1.1A developer and i made a "stock" dir inside the drupal base dir. When I went to the modules activation I didnt see Gallery option. I added the gallery module to the module dir as well. Can someone help me out?

You mean Drupal 4.7.3? What is the "stock" dir?

The entire gallery (gallery.module not Gallery2) directory should be placed in the modules directory and then activated admin/modules as per the installation instructions. Does it not appear there?

Yes 4.7.3 stock url is http://localhost/site/

and the gallery is at localhost/site/stock

Yes the gallery.module is in the right place.

And you do not even see gallery in the module page (admin/module) to activate it? If so, I suggest checking the file/dir permissions.
