Interwiki causes validation error

The "target" element that gets added to the URL causes a validation error. I tried hacking out anything that said "target" in the module, but it worked as normal. I guess it has something to do with the "local" stuff, but as someone that does not really know what they are doing, I figured I'd see if someone else has a solution.
