Hello.

I am happy to be proved wrong here. It could be I do not understand the rankings system. I was trying to create a view that included the the 'sales rank' field (in order to create a 'best selling' block/page) but when I view the contents of the field for some items it looks WILDLY inaccurate and for others looks like it could be accurate. For those where it looked as if it could be accurate and I go and compare on Amazon I see they are very different.

Again, apologies if I am bring a little dim here.

Sorry, I think I should have put this here.

If you're working with Views, then you're working with Amazon module. I'm not sure I've ever even looked at that Sales Rank item (I didn't know it was there until I just went and looked. I thought you were crazy :-)

You can look at the data actually returned from Amazon - probably easiest to do this in Amazon Store's code, and see what the correct numbers are.

But you'll need to provide specific examples (with their ASINS) and the failures (what should it be? What is it instead? How do I know?) for this to be resolved.

Thanks,
-Randy

Firstly - I am crazy. You have insufficient evidence upon which to conclude the contrary ;-)
Secondly, I will have a look at some specific examples.

>I'm not sure I've ever even looked at that Sales Rank item (I didn't know it was there until I just went and looked
I thought it (and a few others) appeared with the 6.1.0 April release. BUT I see you are maintainer of the code so I thought you had done the work. 'Evidence' was mounting against you at this point in the crazy stakes! had you forgotten you had done the work, for e.g? ;-) LOL

... A little time has passed and I have just read the following on the project page:
"24 February 2010:The lowest price, Amazon's price, editorial reviews, and customer reviews are now available. Lowest price, Amazon price, ISBN, EAN are available as filters: [amazon 1430209895 ean]. All this is available in views as well."
Who did this work then? I have played with some of the new fields and they seem to work fine. For example, via a view, you can now display the product description (or a teaser).

Regards

Adam

Hi anea02 - I don't assume you're crazy. I don't even assume I didn't implement salesrank in this last round of additions. But I think it was already there. But even if you're not crazy, I'm still old and don't always remember things :-) I'll be happy to try to figure out what's going on when we have specific examples.
