The link in the README.txt to http://svn.facebook.com/svnroot/platform/clients/packages/facebook-platf... results in a 404 page not found error.

This is echoed in discussions on various forums I can find via Google searches, this seems like it is not temporary. I will try to find a working link again and return to this issue.

That link only downloads a HTML page. Edit: You can check that by opening the .tar file in any editor.

There's a (hardly noticeable) direct link to the actual file on that page:
http://github.com/facebook/platform/raw/master/clients/packages/facebook...

The same link, except replace "blob" with "raw".

This has been updated in the github repo of this project. http://github.com/vectoroc/fbconnect

We should be doing nightly syncs with 6.x-1.x-dev.

Also I uploaded lib into github and added instructions on how to install with drush_make
