Hi,
I have multisiting on shared hosting and I can reproduce this bug there (new drupal installation + cck and no other modules)
I tried to reproduce it on localhost on my computer but failed

I create text field and save it after I can edit it and "change basic information" it works OK.

If I edit this field and change "max length" of field less than 255 and save. Then if I click edit this field and pess "save" button or "change basic information" button I get "Page not found"

May be this issue some how related http://drupal.org/node/481866

I noticed that I have this bug also with custom blocks (on block administration page). If I open it and then click save I get "Page not found". If you confirm it we can move it to drupal issues

agreed.

to tell you the truth though, my block thing works ok, the node/page is the one that gives me the problem.

send to me the new link if you move it somewhere else (post it here, or on my site)

Ok, I figured it out. It is absolutly hosting problem

mod rewrite
