Email, Author and Homepage are not validated when submitting a comment. For websites with anonymous commenting, this makes it easier to spam comments. Maybe it is even a security issue.
Could we just port the validation from comment.module or do we need a special treatment?

Please try this patch. Basically it uses same validation as comment module.
