I cant get those 2 modules working together. I would like also use Simplenews Analytics but when Simplenews Statistics is enabled, the values added by Analytics are no more added to the links.

Any ideas how to get those modules workig together ?

I've decided to incorporate Google Analytics support in this module. Any toughts or ideas are welcome.

The only thing I can think of is that it would be great to be able to add a tag to each newsletter, so that Google Analytics displays each newsletter as a different source in Traffic Sources.

Google Analytics would be great actually. Am just learning about it and found out that - like what rmcom said - you can attach tags to links to indicate things like which source it's from, etc. I could help with testing as well (although I'm using D7).

I have had a go at this, most of the code was actually copied from the original module. Anyone willing to help, please try this patch and report back.
Important to know:

  • will only work on latest 3.x-dev release
  • Check the permission for 'administer newsletter statistics'
