I own these expiring domains but I would like the Drupal community to have them
drupalblog.com - Buy it now price = $20
drupaldir.com - Buy it now price = $20
drupaltalk.com - Buy it now price = $20

First one to reach $20 gets the domain, but I'll also accept offers above or equal to $10

They are about to expire and I would hate to see a spammer grab them.

They are at namecheap, so I can easily push them to your account. Once your purchase is confirmed.

Payment is via paypal.

Post your offers publicly... thanks

there was a debate (and the article unpublished meanwhile) whether this article is spam but we think that $10-20 is not something a domainsquatter would ask for.

Is that a Drupal module? I'm not interested in the domain, but I want to add a chat to an upcoming website. Is that something that can be integrated into Drupal?

Thanks,

Michelle

It's a free java application. There are a few like it on sourceforge.

I am wondering about the legality of selling domains with a trademark embedded in the domains name. I wonder if there will be the possibility that Drupal *could* sue. I'm not saying that they would, even if it is within their right. But, I am interested in knowing whether or not a person can legally own and operate a domain which contains, even partially, a registered trademark. These domains are obviously relevant only to the Drupal CMS. Isn't it possible that they can be taken away from me if I decide to purchase them?

Obviously, you are not trying to scam anyone. You are letting them expire, and offering them back to the community at cost. I'm just wondering what the possibilites are.

Farily sure Drupal isn't a registered trademark.

AFAIK, Drupal is a registered trademark, at least in Belgium (probably at least Benelux).

edit: well, now they are :)

I did only say "Fairly sure" :) and was basing that off both conversation in IRC at the time and a quick search of the US trademark site. Not like me to be so US-centric, sorry. Didn't occur to me that it might be trademarked elsewhere.
