Hello,
I use the vote up/down module which interfaces with voteapi. The maker of vote up/down suggested to ask this here. Is there a way to have the top 5% voted or similar promoted to the front page, and what needs to be done to do this?

I'm not sure exactly how this would be implemented as there isn't much documentation unfortunately, but you would theoretically add an action using Voting Actions.module.

Voting Actions is, indeed, the way this would be done. That module was never cleanly upgraded to version 5.x, however, and is no longer part of the VotingAPI package directly. Now that VotingAPI 2.x is near release I may be able to explore upgrading Voting Actions.
