I set the input format to FULL HTML and use Tinymice on drupal 4.7.2.

I am trying to embed youtube, say:

Upon disabling righ text format, I copy and paste the script in the post and the youtube video seems to appear in the preview screen; however, when I publish, it is gone.

Any advice is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Format Full HTML must be clicked - submit and save.

I use plain text input - not using any editor.

Do check out this module: http://drupal.org/project/embedfilter

It won't help you with the configuration of your input filters or the conflicts that might happen when you try to embed tags from within TinyMCE, but if there are more people than you embedding stuff into your website it will make the whole experience much safer.

it works fine on its own but with TinyMCE, nil.

I enabled the "Flash" Button in Admin -> Settings ->Tiny MCE -> Buttons and Plugins
then it works - for me

less code - less vulnerability

I could not see the flash button
using drupal 6 and tinymce 3

so I configured media plugin
as instructed here
http://drupal.org/node/249946

and its working perfectly
