Arasan Chip Systems Inc. is a leading provider of Total Semiconductor IP Solutions with international offices all over the world. We were approached for revamping its corporate website which would help them manage their vast content easily. Initially there were lots of discussion as to what cms was to be used. Finally we decided to build it using Drupal looking at the flexibility and the modular approach that Drupal provides.
Challenges faced
The old website of Arasan was using MSSQL as the database. We had to migrate about 9500 users into the new website with the profile information, their newsletter subscriptons along with the records related to their interest of the products. We had to write custom scripts to finish this task.
The other challenging task of this project was the integration between the Drupal and the NetSuite CRM used by Arasan. We would be soon releasing a module which was built to achieve integration for NetSuite CRM. This custom built module would capture leads from the website and the push them into the CRM which is one of the primary requirements of the client. We are in the process of cleaning up this module and will release it once it is done.
