After reinstalation of my website(I back up the website and reinstall WAMP) devel module doesn't work properly. When I launch Devel Themer I can not access variables. This is the message which I got.
"Ajax variables file not found. -/tmp/devel_themer_4564bebf3403d718" I have already tried to install Devel 6 1.20 or even downgrade to 6 1.17 but it doesn't help. I have also cleared the caches and /tmp folder is writable. Can anyone please help me? I need Devel Themer especially to find "block id". Does anyone know how to find "block id" But not the one which is in status bar when you hover over the block.

Thank you for your help.

I am usin
apache 2.2.11
mysql 5.1.36

subscribing. I'm getting this as well.

Any other element retrieves the variables. If I click on a block, it may show 18 variables in the array. Immediately thereafter, if I click on the page itself, it will refresh the top portion of the develthemer with the page.tpl.php information, however the Array containing it's variables will go un-updated. I cannot trace exactly when this became a problem.

Also, dsm() or any similar devel variable display calls do not work on the page level.

Make sure your "Temporary directory" (Administer > Site configuration > File system ) is properly configured (writable).

I am not entirely sure about this. It sounds like there are several possible issues which are possibly conflated.

If I could get someone to reproduce while checking

The memory available on the server (in php.ini), I have seen bugs in the D7 port which may be related to memory.

The temp directory is writable & check that there are themer files present.
